Are you an experienced HR generalist looking to make your mark in a business? A skilled and knowledgeable HR generalist is desired for a Senior HR Advisor opportunity working for a well known retail business. This is an exciting time to join the business who over recent years have gone through successful periods of expansion and look to continue on this upward trajectory.

Reporting into the Senior HR Manager you will be responsible for leading on all the key themes within HR including engagement, employee relations, recruitment, policy implementation, learning and development, talent and HR MI. You will be a key point of contact for managers across the business, taking the lead on operational HR activities and deputising for the HR Manager when required. You will be the HR lead on matters relating to Employee Relations, supporting through grievances, disciplinaries, absence management and performance management. Through a proactive nature you will look to partner with the management population guiding them through any operational people activities, whilst helping to develop their own capability for future plans. In addition to your daily activities, the successful Senior HR Advisor, will also support with a number of 'value add' projects such as engagement, HR system implementation and talent and succession planning.

We are looking for a self motivated and passionate HR generalist with fantastic communication skills to be the champion for HR practices. This role will involve lots of networking across the business and will require a good degree of confidence to coach, guide and challenge managers ensuring best practice is achieved.

The Candidate
You will demonstrate a highly credible knowledge of HR policy and practices. Confident and approachable in nature you will be able to quickly integrate into the business through your ability to develop long standing relationships. A developed understanding of employment legislation and the practical application of this is required as is a commercial understanding of HR and how best to achieve the results of the business. You will be passionate about engagement and want to work for a business who value their employees and their development. The ability to work at pace and be conscientious in all that you do will be of great benefit in this role.
