This fantastic company is currently looking to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner to work predominantly within the Hampshire area, this will however also include travel to London, Coventry and various other locations within the south on an as and when basis.
The Role The purpose of the role is to work alongside line managers to implement and embed the strategic HR agenda, providing HR expertise to the business, and addressing all associated people matters in accordance with best practice methodology, internal compliance and legal requirements.
This includes the following: Provide input into the line of business people strategy, implement and embed across business area of responsibility, along with business unit and divisional strategic HR initiatives. Act as champion in communicating and embedding HR strategy, initiatives, policies and procedures across business area of responsibility, business unit or division. Accountable for influencing positive employee relations within business area of responsibility to maintain and improve business output requirements and ensure increased employee engagement. Act as champion in developing and maintaining positive relationships with line managers, business unit/divisional specialists, trade unions and administrative shared services etc. Accountable for supporting line managers in disciplinary, grievance and welfare casework across business area of responsibility.
The Candidate The ideal candidate for this role will have significant generalist HR experience with previous track record of delivering significant contribution to business strategy.
- Must be flexible and able to travel extensively within the UK with good accessibility to London - Proven track record of delivering significant contribution to business strategy, and to implementing and embedding HR strategies in large and complex organisations. Success when working on multiple projects. - Considerable experience in supporting line managers in disciplinary, grievance and welfare case management and in preparing and presenting at employment tribunals, and in developing line management capability in same. - Demonstrable experience of providing HR support to acquisitions, business tenders and managing the transition of people in and out of a business according to TUPE legislation. - Experience in employee relations matters and establishing and developing relationships with Trade Unions for ongoing positive interactions. - Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining positive working relationships at a line management level including the ability to negotiate and influence. - Up to date knowledge of employment law, CIPD would be desirable.
