I am recruiting this exciting Managing Director position for a ?5m turnover family owned East Midlands business. They are based in Leicestershire and are market leaders within their field. This role is offering an executive package, including a long term incentive plan.

The Role

The Managing Director will primarily be responsible for implementing company strategy which is focused towards growth, profits and increasing market share. It is the responsibility of the MD to ensure that the company strategy is geared towards this, while managing business risks.

The ideal individual will have or be able to demonstrate:

  • Own/develop the company business plan for the next 3 years
  • Strong Financial Management skills. Preferably a qualified accountant.
  • An understanding of basic HR policies and procedures
  • A track record of developing Influencing others, directing them to achieve both personal and business goals
  • A proven track record of improving the infrastructure of a business e.g streamlining/implementing systems and processes to drive efficiency gains
  • Ability to drive a strong sales growth culture
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to motivate a workforce and develop a strong teamwork culture
  • Effective management and delegation, establishing procedures to monitor performance of others
  • Strong Communication and negotiation
  • Planning and forecasting
  • Effective decision making
