Macildowie HR is pleased to be working with a fantastic business based in Staffordshire who are looking to recruit a L&D Manager on a permanent basis. Our client, a well known retailer with over 8,000 employers, have a strong culture of encouraging development and as such are looking for a talented individual to join their L&D function. Offering a competitive salary of up to £37,000 and extensive benefits this is a brilliant opportunity for an individual who is passionate about delivering effective and engaging learning strategies into a business.

As the L&D Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the L&D team deliver a tailored learning strategy to the business. Through the development of an effective evaluation process and LNA you will be able to design a solution that enables continuous improvement, an ethos that your team will be encouraged to demonstrate. Your role will encompass all stages of the learning process from analysis through to design and delivery. You will take a blended approach to the learning initiatives encouraging a diverse matrix of learning solutions and work closely with the HR Business Partners on any specific or targeted needs within their business areas. Coaching and developing of the L&D team will be a core component of your role, alongside the support you deliver to the wider business.

Previous experience of managing a team of L&D professionals is essential for this role. The successful person will be able to demonstrate extensive experience of designing and delivering learning and development solutions within a blended programme, including the design and integration of E- Learning interventions. Experience of managing budgets, and relationships with external providers would also be an advantage for this role.

As the Learning and Development Manager you will encourage a 'big picture' thinking approach to learning activities. You will be an ambassador for collaborative working and able to partner with a diverse network of stakeholders and be passionate about building capability across all areas of the business. A customer centric mentality is crucial to the culture of the organisation and is encouraged in all areas of the business.
