Macildowie HR are working in partnership with a public sector organisation in Warwickshire who are looking for a competent, knowledgeable and hard working Junior HR Advisor who can join the HR team on a temp to perm basis. It is vital that this Junior HR Advisor has experience with ER caseloads, recruitment, absence management and policy; at the same time as having a professional and empathetic approach to work and stakeholders.
The is a temp to perm HR opportunity in Warwickshire, paying between ?16,000 - ?20,000pa

The Role:
This is such an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step up from an HR Assistant role or gain more generalist exposure as an Advisor. As a part of a small, tight-knit team, you will be the primary contact for all staff in the business, offering advice around employment policy, procedures and best practice. There will be the opportunity to get stuck into projects and to contribute towards the development of business objectives so this is a role for someone who has a real passion for HR and Business and who wants to make a difference. A key part of the job will be advising around disciplinary, grievance and absence, requiring the ability to work reactively and confidently.

In this role you will be providing support and assistance to the HR Manager and HR Advisor in all areas of HR duties. You will be responsible for providing advice and support and handling the early stages of recruitment, employee benefits, training, employee queries, employment law compliance, handling grievances, dismissals, redundancies and disciplinary action.


You will be responsible for giving first line employee relations advice to ensure each department operates within HR Policies, procedures, legislation and best practice and updating all policies and procedures when necessary. Strong analytical skills will be necessary to support the HR Team in identifying trends and potential issues regarding sickness/turnover/reviews and presenting them to managers on a weekly basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to work on projects as you will be taking the lead role in updating and looking at new benefits packages for employees. You will also be assisting in employee training and performance management as and when necessary.

The Candidate:

  • Good knowledge of generalist HR processes and procedures
  • CIPD qualification or working towards
  • Excellent communication, facilitation skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge and ability to offer basic HR Advice in relation to current legislation
  • Strong HR administration skills in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent spoken/written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
