Macildowie HR are currently working with a well known healthcare organisation based close to Derby city centre. They are looking for a HR Officer to join the team on a permanent basis. The main purpose of the role is to provide a professional, efficient and effective generalist HR and Recruitment service to all line managers and employees across the organisation. Offering a salary of ?25,500-?28,500.

The Role

  • Ensure that all new starters and volunteers are appropriately vetted
  • Be the first point of contact for any employee relations queries and to be responsible for ensuring the effective resolution as well as to advise and coach managers on the application the specific disciplinary policies and procedures
  • Oversee the full recruitment life cycle from vacancy approval through to employee start date, ensure that effective recruitment campaigns are in place for all vacancies
  • To produce all disciplinary and grievance letters and any other associated paperwork
  • Assisting the Head of Human Resources in more complex employee relations projects
  • Working closely with line managers and coaching them on how to effectively manage staff absence and managing long term sickness cases to ensure effective resolution including returning to work and or ill health dismissal as appropriate
  • Updating the Staff Handbook and assist the HR & Payroll Administrator with new starter and leaver administration as appropriate, as well as the production of offer letters and contractual paperwork
  • Producing managerial training guides on various topics such as giving feedback and recruitment
  • Producing and updating the online HR induction
  • To be responsible for the timely completion of HR projects as assigned by the Head of Human Resources
