Macildowie HR is working in partnership with a well known FMCG business based in Derbyshire to recruit a HR Manager to join them on a permanent basis. With over 50 years experience as industry leaders our client are known for their value set around skill and care which extends past the manufacturing line and into their people plan. They are looking to appoint a skilled HR generalist to oversea their HR team and the people agenda for their sites in Derbyshire and the south of England. As the HR Manager you will over see the entire HR function from conception through to delivery. The HR Manager will be instrumental in devising the HR agenda and the strategy with which to embed this in the business. As a generalist role the HR Manager will oversea all areas of HR including employee relations, recruitment, training and development, engagement, policy review and reward and benefits. Key projects for this role will include driving cost efficiencies through effective recruitment campaigns, encouraging a framework around OD through succession and talent management and devising MI reporting channels. The HR Manager will also be a key point of contact to the business for ER issues and will work with managers to increase their capability of resolving such issues. In addition to this the HR Manager will ensure a continued culture of improvement through regular reviews of HR policies.

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate proven experience of operating as a HR generalist. You will posses a strong technical understanding of HR practices and employment law. CIPD Level 7 qualified is desired but not essential. Alongside technical knowledge the HR Manager will demonstrate expert communications techniques, able to build effective relationships across all areas of the organisation. Agility and resilience are both desired attributes that will serve the HR Manager well in what is a fast paced and changing environment. An emphasis of delivering care and developing skills will blend well with the business' wider value set towards their customers. Ultimately this is a generalist role that will require the successful candidate to be able to effectively 'spin multiple plates' at the same time.
