Macildowie HR are pleased to be working in partnership with a professional services SME based in Derbyshire who are looking to appoint a HR Manager for a permanent role. This is a stand alone position that will be a key hire for a business who are passionate about investing in their people and their future. As a permanent, full time role the salary offered is between £44-48,000 per annum.

The Role:

The HR Manager will operate as a stand alone HR generalist. They will be a trusted advisor to managers and employees within the business and will engage with people at all stages of their employee life cycle. As the HR Manager you will be responsible for setting, delivering and embedding the people agenda. As a HR generalist this role will encompass engagement, employee relations, recruitment, training, reward and the administration of documentation such as employment contracts. The HR Manager will work closely with senior figures in the business to design an effective talent attraction and training programme. Experience of working with professional governing bodies and managing the associated training and placement programmes would be highly beneficial for this role.

The Candidate:

Previous experience of working as a HR generalist is essential for this role as is a background in either financial or professional services. The HR Manager must be able to demonstrate an exemplary track record of delivering strong operational HR support to businesses. Experience of working in 'owner managed' or privately owned companies would be desirable for this role. They will be an excellent facilitator able to manage a varied work load and 'spin multiple plates' simultaneously. Communication and collaboration are two areas of strength that the HR Manager must bring to this role as they will engage with senior managers in the business and as such must be able to challenge appropriately and effective. CIPD qualified is desired but not essential.
