Macildowie HR are pleased to be partnering a retail organisation in Stafford who are looking to recruit a HR Manager to join their business. Reporting to the MD of the organisation this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business in a stand alone role that will see the successful person manage the people agenda for the business. The role is a permanent, full time opportunity, which offers a competitive salary including a wide benefits programme.

The Person:

Our client are looking for a credible HR expert to join their organisation. The successful person will be able to demonstrate strong credentials across all areas of HR and be seen to be a true generalist. They will have a considered approach to communications; able to build trust and be considered as a dependable partner to their stakeholders. Previous experience in a stand alone capacity is desired for this role. The HR Manager will need to be solutions focused and proactive in their approach to partnering with the organisation. As this is a stand alone role it requires someone who is agile in their approach, able to wear many hats to many people across the business, and happy rolling up their sleeves and managing admin tasks as part of their wider role.

The Role:

The HR Manager role is a varied position that will see the successful person supporting and managing a number of activities across the business. They will be responsible for designing the people agenda and ensuring that the strategy for this aligns with the commercial goals of the business. This is a generalist role so experience of recruitment, employee relations, reward and benefits, engagement, training and learning and development are all essential for this role. Reporting into the MD of the business the HR Manager will sit as part of the senior management team and will have a stakeholder group that ranges from director level to supervisor. The HR Manager will be responsible for the successful resolution of all ER issues and queries so experience of performance management, absence management, capability management, disciplinaries and grievances will all be of benefit for this role. There is also likely to be a number of projects that the HR Manager will be expected to deliver including a employee survey, review of the benefits scheme and a number of change management projects relating to restructures.
