HR Manager - Northamptonshire - up to ?48,000

Macildowie Recruitment is working with a growing blue collar business with head office in Northamptonshire on the recruitment of an HR Manager. The HR Manager will manage the HR service for operational and head office staff and, while office based, will occasionally be required to go out to the field. The role is being recruited on a permanent basis and will pay up to ?48,000.

The Role
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing a small team that, with the business' growth plans, will expand so establishing robust policies and processes will be a key focus for this role in the short term. The HR Manager will work very closely with the site management team to embed short and long term HR strategies to drive performance, improve engagement and facilitate a culture of team working. The role will involve all aspects of generalist HR, including but not limited to Employee Relations, Reward, Learning & Development, Talent & Succession and change management.

The HR Manager will be focused on driving capability across the management population through coaching and upskilling and working with external suppliers to roll out Management Development programmes. Despite being a small HR function, the business is keen for it to be proactive in its approach so the development of operational managers is key in enabling transactional processes not to be time consuming for the postholder.

The Person
You will ideally be CIPD qualified and will have a collaborative, team player mentality. You will be firm but fair and be comfortable in challenging senior stakeholders. Experience working in a fast paced environment is essential to hit the ground running, as well a sound knowledge of ER and culture management. You will be comfortable building relationships in a fast paced, challenging environment and will be able to work on your own initiative.
