HR Manager - Wellingborough - up to ?40,000

Macildowie are pleased to be working with a growing, family owned business in Wellingborough in the recruitment of an HR Manager. The role will be recruited on a permanent basis and will pay up to ?40,000 initially but there will be a plan for the successful candidate to succeed the HR Director in the future.

The Role
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the UK HR operations and a small overseas operation, with the support of a small team including an HR Assistant and a Training Manager. The HR Manager will be a key figure in ensuring excellence from a HR perspective, but also operational performance. The role will be accountable for all generalist matters; recruitment, reward, performance, absence, talent & succession and engagement. The HR Manager will act as coach and partner to the senior management team and will be able to make business focus recommendations on HR related matters.

Some key project areas for the HR Manager will surround supporting the Training Manager through development and deployment of new capability improvement programmes, implementation of new and innovative benefits offerings, as well as introducing new recognition programmes.

The HR Manager will enjoy a blended role of operational duties and project work so will suit someone that enjoys a varied workload.

The Person
Our client is looking for a confident HR generalist with experience in a fast paced environment. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills at all levels and a track record of people development. With the long term plans for the role, a desire to deliver change, innovate and bring a fresh ideas to the table. Knowledge of European employment law would be advantageous, as would any recognised CIPD qualifications.
