Macildowie Recruitment are working with a manufacturing business based in Derbyshire who are looking to appoint a HR Manager to join them in a permanent role. The HR Manager will manage all aspects of the HR agenda across the UK operations in what is a stand alone role reporting into the board of Directors.

The HR Manager will be responsible for managing all operational HR duties and driving the strategic people agenda. Working closely with the SMT and board of Directors, the HR Manager will contribute towards the design of a robust business plan aimed at delivering growth and improved performance. The HR Manager will devise a plan around the monitoring of key people metrics and leadership development in order to support the wider business plan.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Development of HR policies
A proactive and strategic approach towards talent attraction. Building robust pipelines to maintain a flow of talent into the business
GAAP and training needs analysis of the SMT
Drive employee engagement and performance management
Resolution of operational HR activities including; ER queries and case management, TUPE, restructures and redundancy

Ideal Candidate:

Will be able to demonstrate a strong background in generalist HR roles. Will possess a thorough knowledge of UK Employment Law and have managed high volume case loads. Previous experience of managing leadership development programmes and performing training needs analysis is desired. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, be confident in their ability to work autonomously and can evidence their ability to gain credibility with challenging stake holders. Can be agile in their approach to work and be resilient to change.
