Macildowie HR is incredibly excited to be working with an industry leading organisation in the Logistics industry to recruit for a HR Consultant on permanent full time basis. As part of a progressive and driven team the HR consultant will be a senior member of staff and have responsibility both for their own work and junior's members of the team.

Permanent, ?27,000 to ?32,000 depending on experience.

The Role

As the HR consultant you will be the escalation point for all complex HR queries, especially those ER cases which require a more senior member of staff. The ability to use your exemplary employment law knowledge to reduce business risk is absolutely key in this aspect of the role.

Another key activity of the HR consultant is working in conjunction with the HR Manager to assess recruitment needs, helping to align the people coming in to the business with critical values and ensuring the organisation hires the absolute best people, whether this be through the writing of accurate job adverts or taking part in interviews.

Improving organisational performance through the upskilling of your colleagues is another exciting part of this role, working with the L&D team and external providers to make sure everyone working for this organisation is able to perform and excel.

The final aspect of this role is to help coach and manage the HR Advisory team, making sure that workloads are balanced and the HR team is running smoothly when the HR manager is off site.

There may be aspects of travel in this role across organisational sites as and when required.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate must have a wealth of experience dealing with employee relation cases, from absence management to misconduct cases, up to and including dismissal level. To this end CIPD level 5 is a must and level 7 would be advantageous.

As well as experience of ER, the candidate must have experience and confidence in the recruitment process, end to end from advert to offer and the on-boarding process that follows.

Alongside the technical competencies the individual must be energetic, driven and willing to work hard for both their team and the organisation as a whole. The organisational values of collaboration, innovation and quality run strongly throughout the business and therefore must resonate with the candidate.
