Macildowie HR are working in partnership with an industry leading retailer, with a headcount in excess of 4,000, who are looking to appoint a HR Business Partner for a 9 month FTC. This is a field based role covering the East and West Midlands, venturing towards the North East. With an extensive network of branches the HR Business Partner will have good flexibility over their working locations and will have the autonomy to manage their diary based on business need. Reporting into the Head of HR the HR Business Partner will be responsible for supporting their stakeholders with pragmatic, commercial advice on all matters relating to the people agenda. This role is offered as a 9 month contract with an annual salary circa £40-45,000 and wider benefits package.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a business minded HR professional who is looking for a hands on role in a fast paced and commercially driven environment. As the HR Business Partner you will be responsible for building a strong network of relationships across your business area; able to build and maintain the credibility of the HR function whilst delivering solutions driven support to your stakeholders. Your stakeholders will consist of a varied demographic from middle to senior managers with varying experience in people management. As the HR Business Partner you will be on hand to provide timely and robust advice for any complex HR issues relating to capability, disciplinary, grievances and organisational change. You will be the lead on any change programmes taking place, partnering with the wider HR team to ensure overall business needs are met. In addition to delivering hands on support the HR Business Partner will play an integral role in the delivery of projects relating to engagement, retention, policy harmonisation and HR MI.

The successful candidate will possess strong generalist credentials. Previous experience of working on a large and varied ER case load would be beneficial for this role as would experience of managing change programmes relating to restructures and redundancies. The HR Business Partner will need to be capable of influencing and challenging stakeholders where necessary whilst protecting the HR brand within the business. They will demonstrate a commercial aptitude; able to deliver timely solutions whilst being forward thinking with their approach.
