THE OPPORTUNITY:
Macildowie HR is delighted to be working in partnership with a manufacturing business in recruiting for a HR Assistant to join their site in North Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and gain more exposure to HR activities in a fully generalist position. The role is a permanent position paying up to ?25,000.


You will be reporting into the HR manager and working alongside a close team in order to expand the business further. Working for a UK based manufacturing company you will need to be committed to meeting the business' values of delivering outstanding customer service.


THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be supporting the HR Manager on a range of HR generalist queries. This will include:
Dealing with recruitment processes and assisting the managers with recruitment and selection
Absence reporting and dealing with the companies sick plan
Typing up offer letters and issuing starter packs for direct employees & subcontractors
Participating in proceedings and meetings for disciplinaries and grievances
Carrying out reference checks on new starters and following up any poor references with the HR or Contract manager
Educating and training supervisors in how to carry out and complete checks for CRB/Background Checking
Implementing new policies/procedures in line with employment law legislation
General Administration i.e. filing, E-mailing, faxing, photocopying and letter typing

EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

For this role you will need to have previous HR administration experience and CIPD/HR qualification would be encouraged. You will need to be confident in using a HR system and have strong numeracy and analytical skills. A firm interest in wanting to develop your career further in HR would be expected alongside being extremely driven and confident. Excellent communication skills will be needed to interact with a variety of people at different levels.
