Macildowie HR are pleased to be supporting a manufacturing business in Derby with their recruitment of a HR Advisor for an interim contract. The contract will last a minimum of 3 months but is likely to extend past this point. The salary for this role is between ?26-32,000 per annum.

The Role:
Reporting into the HR Manager the HR Advisor will be responsible for support across all aspects of HR and at all stages along the employee life cycle. Typical responsibilities will include:

Supporting with, and managing employee relations cases relating to absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievances
Coaching and advising managers on recruitment practice and supporting with interviews and screening exercises
Supporting with ad hoc project work relating to topics such as employee engagement, development and HR MI
Supporting the HR Manager with on boarding initiatives and ensuring that all documentation relating to employee records is kept up to date

The Successful Person:
The successful candidate for the interim HR Advisor role will be an experienced HR generalist who has previously worked in a similar role at an advisor level. Experiencing of managing ER case work is essential to this role as is a good understanding of employment law and an understanding of how to support through informal conflict resolution and mediation. The successful HR Advisor will have a pragmatic approach and be able to demonstrate where they have built strong working relationships across all areas of an organisation. A generalist background is desired for this role as it is a fast paced environment where the HR Advisor will be expected to turn their hand to a variety of tasks.
