Macildowie HR are currently working with a global organisation based in Northampton in the recruitment of a HR Advisor. You will work as part of a proactive, innovative and responsive HR team to provide pragmatic, creative and business focused HR solutions and recommendations across the business. This is a permanent position paying up to ?30,000 + great benefits.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Head of HR in a fully generalist HR role. You will support with all ER cases such as disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management. You will provide an efficient, effective and customer focussed HR service which supports all aspects of an employee's relationship and engagement including recruitment, terms and conditions of employment and training and development activities. You will act as the case manager in individual and collective performance, absence, grievance and disciplinary cases and work with local representatives on employee relations matters to enable a collaborative approach to resolution.

Alongside looking at ER cases, you will also provide support to the HR Coordinator on site and upskill them on certain areas. You will look after recruitment and liaising with agencies when needed. The role will include speaking to line managers to find out what needs they have in their teams, then shortlisting and selecting candidates to interview.

You will get the opportunity to get involved in lots of varied projects alongside the Head of HR. These will include looking at areas such as employee engagement and really developing a strong line of communication between the HR department and the rest of the employees on site.

This is a great chance for someone to really get stuck in and have the autonomy with a role in order to gain lots of additional exposure.

The Candidate

You will need to be driven and have a good understanding of ER cases and employment law knowledge. Alongside this you will also have:

Excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills
Excellent organisational skills including ability to manage time and prioritise effectively
Strong IT skills, skilled in using Microsoft Word and Excel packages and experienced in working with HR packages /databases.
Able to work as a team as well as independently and on own initiative within specified guidelines or processes
Well-developed interpersonal skills and able to deal with colleagues at all levels
Able to work appropriately with confidential and sensitive
