Our client is a business whose performance continues to outperform their competitors and continues to take market share across their business units. Due to an ongoing Project that aligns to a strategic initiative in the next 12 months they are recruiting this role on a 12 month fixed term basis. Supporting a Divisional Manager in the HR & Payroll team the role will be responsible for supporting analytical and technical Payroll support to the broader HR & Payroll function while maintain excellent standards and control in a large payroll function with over 15000 staff.

Deliver monthly payroll reconciliation, analysis and reporting
Drive improvement initiatives
Engage with internal and external partners to develop an end to end plan that supports successful delivery
Work across the HR Team to drive efficiency's in ways of working with the ultimate goal of reducing running costs
Provide first line support on policy and procedure including appropriate administration support to both weekly and monthly payroll runs
Work with key stakeholders to deliver project activity as specified
Ensure all team processes are documented and up to date
Support all internal and external audits

Candidates need to be able to evidence their extensive Payroll and systems knowledge ideally in a large business with varied weekly/monthly payroll requirements. It's likely you will be a Payroll expert although candidates with an accounting/analytical background who can demonstrate the support they have with Payroll would be considered as would candidates who have worked in HR, can evidence Payroll experience of a large scale with the supporting analytics needed to succeed.. They would prefer an immediate start but will wait for the perfect candidate with all the skills needed to succeed in the role.
