Macildowie HR are working with an outstanding global brand and employer of choice across the UK East Midlands to recruit an HR professional for an Employee Relations Manager to be based in the East Midlands with direct responsibility of managing a team or Employee Relations Specialist based around the country. This organisation is a market leader who offer exceptional development plans for their employees, a stunning working environment and an excellent work life balance! Roles within this business are sought after and many roles open up to different opportunities within the business due to their successful talent and succession strategy including the development into a more generalist Senior HR Business Partner role if interested. We are looking for a HR professional with excellent experience in employee relations either in a similar role or a generalist HR role where you've dealt with complex cases and proactively drive continuous improvement to increase business effectiveness. The role is paying ?50,000 - ?63,000 + Pool Car + 12% bonus + 9% pension. Commutable from Nottingham, Leicester, Lincoln, Derby and Peterborough.


The Role
We are looking for a high experienced HR professional who can lead, motivate and engage a team of ER Specialists based around the country to deliver exceptional performance whilst serving as an excellent stakeholder manager on operational excellence and a true representative of the fantastic business culture.

We are looking for someone who can promote a positive Employee Relations environment through developing and coaching your key stakeholder's in delivering a legally compliant and consistent best practice approach. With 30% travel you can be based at their head office in the East Midlands or working out of UK sites or at home with flexibility to manage your own diary.

Along with managing the team and always looking for ways to improve you will provide an operational service to your key stakeholder's by providing high level advice and guidance to ensure all risk to the business is understood and mitigated with regards to people management, policy and decision making.

You will be the first point of contact and act as a coach to your team and with key stakeholder's when complex cases are escalated to you from the team in order to provide accurate commercial advice on a full range of complex HR activities including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, performance management, change management and TUPE. You'll work collaboratively with the Senior HR Business Partner team on the case management of individual complex, high risk and sensitive cases.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in an ER role within a fast paced customer centric organisation with a passion for ER and keen to continue to develop within this area or even into HR Business Partnering roles down the line. It would be great if you have first hand experience of supporting large scale organisational change along with experience of managing Early Conciliations claims, judicial mediation and drafting Grounds of Resistance to employment tribunal claims although this is not essential.
